01/07/2008: Flowers for Nellie

Date: 07/01/2008
Length: 00:28:40

During the First World War, the Canadian government labelled 8,500 foreigners as enemy aliens and interned them in labour camps in the country's hinterlands. Most hailed from what is now Ukraine. The Current producer John Chipman prepared a documentary exploring the legacy of Canada's first national internment program. **Note: This documentary has been altered from its complete form due to copyright restrictions.
